A 6-session course exploring our God-given gifts and building confidence in God’s call

Your SHAPE for God’s Service’ aims to help people to discover their God-given gifts, to live a more joyful and fruitful Christian life, to discover where and how God is calling them to serve him, and to become the person God has designed them to be.

There are six enjoyable and interactive learning sessions designed to help everyone to discover their God-given SHAPE:

Spiritual Gifts             God’s unique gifts to you

Heart’s Desire            What motivates and excites you

Abilities                       Your talents, knowledge and skills

Personality                 Your character, personal qualities and strengths

Experience                Your life experiences and all you’ve gained from them

Each of these is explored in the context of God’s call to serve him in all the various spheres of life – our workplace, our family, church, voluntary activities and leisure pursuits.

‘Your SHAPE for God’s Service’ was originally written by Amiel Osmaston when she was Ministry Development Officer for Carlisle Diocese in 2006 and extensively revised since then. It has been used in hundreds of churches to inspire confidence and help individuals to identify the ways in which God is calling them to serve.

Although ‘Your SHAPE for God’s Service’ stands alone, it is the natural follow-up to ‘Alive in Christ’. It will help all those brought to a new confidence in God’s love for them, to respond to his call to live a fruitful life.

We are offering the materials of ‘Your SHAPE for God’s Service’ in several formats. If you wish to use the materials ‘straight’ just as they are written, then download and print the pdf versions of the Leader’s Guide and the Group Members’ Material.
