Revd Keith Powell
Keith has been working with ReSource since its inception, alongside the role of Parish priest in multi-parish rural benefices in Somerset, having been ordained in 1995.
He had come to Somerset to take up a County Council farm tenancy with his wife Jill milking a herd of 100 dairy cows when in his late thirties he had an "out of the blue" call to offer himself for full time ministry in the Church of England.
For the last 15 years Keith has also served as Renewal Adviser to the Diocese of Bath and Wells and has been involved with other streams of renewal, including New Wine and New Wine International, missions to Africa with S.O.M.A., a Trustee with the Crosswinds Prayer Initiative, and as an itinerant speaker and encourager with the Filling Station network.
Keith has delivered courses on the person, fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit, Healing and Wholeness, Prayer and Fasting, Listening to God, Moving in the Prophetic, and on Spiritual Warfare. He has a vision to see the Body of Christ, the Church, released in the love of Jesus and the Power of the Holy Spirit, exercising the Spirit's gifts as an everyday normal for every Christian disciple.
Keith and Jill are blessed with five children and seven grandchildren. Though the farm has gone they still have a share in five Highland cattle, care of 21 sheep, some chickens, a beehive, a dog, and they make cider from their own cider apple trees. When time permits Keith enjoys playing cricket and tennis, swimming, walking, photography and of course drinking a little of the homemade cider!
