Revd Donna Williams
I first encountered Anglican Renewal Ministries [the predecessor organisation to ReSource, known as ARM] in 1996. At a conference I was released from lingering doubts about the reality of spiritual gifts, as we worshipped in the Spirit – for the first time I found a new freedom and openness to the work of the Holy Spirit. My personal background is distinctive because I was a spiritualist earlier in my life, and had encountered many counterfeit gifts. The ministry of ARM helped me understand the proper place of the Holy Spirit’s gifts in the Christian life.
After many years in parish ministry within Manchester diocese, in 2024 I was appointed full-time Area Dean of Bury and Rossendale. I am totally supportive of the ‘little, local and ordinary’ church. In and through the power of the Holy Spirit I long to see renewal in the life of the church, leading to a greater passion to see our congregations living out their faith as whole life disciples of Jesus Christ wherever they find themselves Monday to Saturday.
I’m married to Lee, have two children and seven grandchildren. I love watching F1, Man City and enjoy running.
