Canon Dr. Alison Fleetwood
Alison has a heart for Healing and Freedom. Freedom from anything that holds us back, Freedom for taking hold of our Kingdom Identities and moving into all that He calls us to be in His service. Alison sees Healing in a wide context – only partly expressed in her paid employment as a part-time GP in Cumbria. Since 2015, Alison has the privilege of being the Healing Adviser for the Carlisle Diocese and was appointed as an Honorary Lay Canon of Carlisle Cathedral in 2018.
Alison trained in prayer ministry and has been active in this ministry within her local church, St. Thomas Kendal for many years. She is now focussed on prayer and healing ministry training across the Ecumenical County and training in other related subjects such as prophesy and identity. Alison is active within Freedom in Christ Ministries, a resource ministry with a primary emphasis on identity based discipleship.
With a love of the hills, Alison lives in the beautiful environs of the Lake District, and is a member of the Christian Rock and Mountain Club. She worships at St. Thomas Kendal, and is also a member of Abbey, an emergent new monastic community that seeks to follow a Way of Life using the Celtic tradition. Alison is married with one son.
Alison is delighted to be invited to be a Trustee of ReSource and very much looks forward to being involved in the new chapter ahead.
